I have three of these pinned to my cubicle walls at work and they are looking for lovely to look at
I was not sure what to expect with this ribbon style yarn. I do quite bit of crochet and thought this would be fun to try out. It definitely is easy to work with due to the fact that it is not a true spun yarn and will not split when crocheting. I am planning on using it mainly for accents to amigurumi. I have a dino pattern that was just begging for something to dress up the spikes and this worked out really good. It would be a great product to use on bags or totes or even straps because it is so durable. I love that it is shiny but does not shed any of the sparkle. Overall, this is a really nice alternative to true spun yarn if you are looking for something a bit different. There is quite bit on this spool so it should last you a long time, especially if only using it for small parts of larger projects like I am.
I ordered this yarn to try something different and it does not dissapoint. at all! I am so in love with the color and the metallic shine that it has! It's perfect. It's so easy tonwork with, ecspecially since this is my first time ever using this type of yarn to make anything. I love the elasticity of the material. It's very beautiful material. I am officially a fan and I will using this specific brand for all of my yarn needs. I love a variety and they definitely have many types to offer. To be honest, I highly recommend this brand to anyone in the natket with a creative knitch for crocheting. You will be absolutely amazed at how beautiful this material really is in person. The photo's in the description serve the actual material no justice, at all.
This LaPace satin ribbon tape yarn is really pretty. I ordered the blue and the ribbon is a lovely sapphire shade and with a beautiful sheen. The ribbon is about 1/2-3/4" wide, so it definitely has some substance to it. It also has a little bit of stretch, making it easier to work with. The package didn't specify the amount of yardage on the spool, but the ad indicates that it is 60 yards in length. I have a couple of planned projects that i can incorporate this satin ribbon and I know the finished appearance will be much more enhanced with the addition of this ribbon yarn.
I'd never used this kind of yarn before, so I looked up some ideas. Most of them that I found were crochet, with a little bit of knit thrown in. I didn't care for most of what I saw, so I tried out a few other things. I'm not crazy about everything I have pictured, but it has a lot of promise!
Since I haven't used it before, I don't know if it's typical that the yarn was folded over a lot while it was being wound. It mostly straightens out easily enough, but there are creases. I haven't tried to find a way to remove them yet.
I can't compare this to other similar yarns, but from my limited experience, it seems great! I'm having a lot of fun trying new things with it.
